@LthrncknDshwshr
That day and night was pure joy to me. JOY! Thanks for posting such a seminal moment in my life.
@doctorj2u2 thank goodness for football….saints football
@OneManWolfPack44 it is going also going to be epic to see dan marino’s record go to following place. it could happen against the falcons….
the most epic night in NFL history…and that’s coming from a PACKER FAN
This was much more vital than a super bowl
lol 2;28 was awesome
@jeterj1107 what. just because they are ecalled the saints and because they had a stellar game their initially game back at the dome? if that is what you mean i kno god can’t really do a upset all the time. But the new orleans SAINTS have sucked for a very long time before and 3 years after 2006. not hating but just asking. I despise it when people say thankyou god for this fantastic game. it’s the player that does the work. not god. Football magazines never mention how excellent st, joseph played.
@LthrncknDshwshr you do realize we won the Super Bowl, that trumps this play by a excellent margin, but its still one of the best plays in the history of football.
Lived it. Don’t want to ever live the total misery again. Thank you Saints for pulling me through the clinical depression. You were EVERYTHING to me I wish I could say that about my country. It never happened. Correction. It happened 3 years after the fact..
notice how the announcers were speachless for over a minute there…
@Bullrider300 cause it was a fantastic day for NEW ORLEANS
@dieselgq I am not sure if there will be another event as significant as this one.
legendary game.
The kinda stuff movies are made of… I reflect one day they will indeedl make a film adaption of the Saints’ tale, but probably combine the 06 and 09 season for thematic purposes.. I look forward to it.
chills
goddamn i like my city :’)
@Bullrider300 could very well be both. 5 years makes a huge difference. gleason being on the field holding onto brees was emotional. no doubt.
Notice the ball gets snapped for the blocked punt on 13:37
Symbolic or Coincidence
lucky anniversary!
@LthrncknDshwshr Your comment gave me chills. WHO DAT!!!!!!
@jeterj1107 where?
@Hiei2k7 It’s incredible how quick help comes after a disaster of this magnitude. This country is the best country in the world.
One thing I’ll never forget: was in Illinois visiting family when Katrina had passed, about 4 days after the end of the storm, Canadian National was running about 5 trains per day facing southbound, LOADED with lumber, boxcars, trucks, etc, all on the ancient Crescent City line.
